yes - do not confuse the minions with facts.
Pete is energetic, but he can also sit in ANY meeting room and more than hold his own. Big difference.

How many times has Dabo been an OC or DC? Exactly!
Weak point is weak. Look at the man's resume.
And we gave a guy that no one else wants a raise. Stupid management.

"a guy that no one else wants."
I have to be honest here, Dabo is a guy that made some great hires, brought Clemson their first conference championship in decades, has been to two BCS games, won one of them, and kills it in recruiting. I would have a hard time believing that he is a guy that no one else wants.

He shoulda been allowed to test the market and we coulda matched the offer or bettered it. Who else has made an active pursuit of Dabo? South Alabama is the only one I know of.

Pete Carroll is twice the age of Dabo

Of course he has more experience.
My question is...have you ever been in a meeting with Dabo? Not sure how you prove which coach is better in meetings.
My point is that Pete Carroll and Dabo are both energetic guys on the sideline and neither calls their own plays during a game.

to answer your question OC/DC none......BUT....yes Dabo has 10+ wins three years in a row, a conference Championship, two division titles, all of that looks pretty good on a resume if you ask me!!
So valid point is valid!
WE gave a guy doing Good things for Clemson a Raise, who cares what any other school thinks?!?!
What kind of shape did Pete leave the real USC in?!?! If I remember right it has something to do with probation!!??

yes i do disagree with it.
Why do coaches get raises? Its to ensure some other program doesn't come swoop them up. The reason Saban makes 7 mill a year Bama is because if they didn't give him that, then someone else would. If I was Drad and Dabo wanted to talk contract, I would tell him to go see what the market is and I would match it. We coulda saved a ton of money with that line of thinking.

Exactly what makes you think Dabo could not "sit in ANY meeting room and more than hold his own?"
I'd guess that answer to be that your building a "fact" from your preconceived notion, and then reinforcing your notion with that "fact".

many seems to be that since Dabo is so positive and enthusiastic (cheerleader), and since he is an excellent recruiter, and since he has hired great coordinators, that somehow it follows that he is not a good x-and-o guy himself, and that he could not hold his own in a meeting room.
The problem is, it doesn't follow. It may be true, it may not; we don't know.

6-7 not enough proof for ya?
how about the fact that he was PASSED OVER as OC at both Bama and at CU on multiple occasions? To the point where he left coaching all together after not getting the nod at Bama.
I am sure Dabo could sit in a room full of HS coaches and hold his own. Didn't mean to imply otherwise. The original reference was to Pete and guys who HAVE ACTUALLY been thought highly enough of to garner such a title.
My bad.

6-7.
the fact that he never brought anything to any of the meetings i attended (minus sarcasm of course).
Heck of a recruiter. Heck of a motivator. Those things cannot be denied.
Doesn't change the fact that he couldn't coach his way out of a room full of doors.
