Coot encounter

Hit the bar with my softball team after our game last Wednesday. Said bar sponsors the team, so we have the same long table reserved for us after every game. Walked in and immediately spotted a dood sitting at a booth by our table sporting a coot hat. Naturally, I sat directly across from him so he could get a full-view of my Clemson hat. (I live south of ATL, so coots are few and far between...I like to take my shots whenever I get an opportunity!)
I tried to act like I didn't notice him, but I could tell he was torn up about it. He kept looking over trying to make eye contact, and the people sitting with him were giving him a hard time.
Finally, he got up to leave and turned to me and said, "Well aren't you going to say anything?"
I said, "about what?"
He pointed to his hat and then to mine. "I know you saw my hat."
"Yeah, so?"
"Well ya'll got us pretty good this year. Maybe you were too worried to watch."
So I said, "No, I saw it. You act as if this is something out of the ordinary...I'm used to routinely seeing us pluck your feathers. Believe it or not, we didn't just start playing each other in 2009."
I wish I could have taken a picture of the look on his face! Priceless

Move along little coot. I expect a few of yall to wander over here from time to time but in 3 or 4 years from now and after numerous beatings I don't expect to see yall in here anymore.

in a series of volumes, to be released daily and span over the next 2 months. I can see if grump will let me replace Mickey's blog with my saga.
I'm thinking I do hour-long installments a la 24. Maybe I can get Kiefer Sutherland to play me and Brazzy B to be the coot fan.
Thoughts?

with pride, but you spotting a coot, then planning your seating and the rest of your dining experience around him.... Maybe a little obsessive.

Speaking of irony....

a coot creates a Tigernet profile with a clemson related name, then proceeds to troll the message boards all summer.
And he calls ME obsessive.
Ironic, no?
PS - 35-17!!!!

another in Waco. Luckily there were at least 3 groups of folks with at least one Paw with them at the concert and I saw a Clemson shirt at the Dallas airport to help wash it away. I really thought I'd be coot free in Texas.
Also, Asleep at the Wheel playing Tiger Rag made me feel better.
