"Depressing" is an odd choice of words

All but #7 were epic close games between 2 good teams, only depressing to fans and media supporting the losing team. The last second miracle games were heartbreaking losses when one team thought they had it. The controversies in #3 and #5 could be considered depressing for deciding the outcome of great games.

I honestly thought they were gonna say the 2018 National Championship game which had to be depressing to Alabama fans and media supporters since no one saw that coming.
