believe he should be given the chance to right the ship.
But how long does Dabo have to get things right? Is it 1 year, 2 years, 5 years or 10 years.
We all know if things continue as is that Dabo will need to be fired. But how much good will does he have in the bank?

I keep saying, he's the Clemson version of Joe Paterno. He pretty much has as long as he wants regardless of record. Penn State called its stadium the house that Joe built. Clemson is about the same..without a new stadium.

In my opinion, and it means squat, I'm going with 2 more full seasons. There should be a major overhaul to staff and portal usage after this season with visible improvements across the board next season. The 2027 season there should be an expectation of winning the ACC and going to the playoffs or bust.
Dabo has been a Godsend to the fans of Clemson, but he doesn't get a free ride for eternity. Anyone willing to do a deep dive would see the writing on the wall after the 2019 season and it has gotten worse each year resulting in what we're all seeing on the field now.
Home field advantage is nonexistent
Player passion is nonexistent
Clemson is no longer feared or even thought of now other than to deride the program.
As much as I hate to see Clemson lose games it was almost a necessity for Dabo to make the required changes. He cannot not make major changes after this season is over.
Sadly, college football is a "what have you done for me lately" world now and living off of the recent past glory years will only give you so much grace.

He wont be fired regardless. His performance is deserving but his contract is not financially tenable for Clemson to absorb his buyout... We're stuck

He is also the most winning head coach in ACC history. Think about that. He has won more than Bobby Bowden, Bobby Ross, Paul Johnson, Danny Ford, Mack Brown (not counting texas) Bill Walsh and the rest.

If you care about Clemson athletics and landing in a P2 conference, you feel that he absolutely can be fired. Either Clemson is going to play with the big boys or not. If he is not going to field a competitive team, he needs to take a MASSIVE pay cut. IPTAY then needs to scale back the giving levels and go back to 1:00 non-televised kickoffs.

The thing is I don't think changing coaches downhill from Dabo is going to fix it. I honestly think they have no idea what is wrong because they just think if they coach their respective postions they should be great. They don't seem to be able to make the team better.
Somehow I don't think it is all about bad coaches, but more about synergy between them.
I am no genius and obviously can't make a comment that can't be condemned, but in my way out there opinion is they need team building with the coaches first. The TEAM problem is the coaches not being a team first. It just seems like we have 4-5 teams out there in the game. The OL being a team, the DL being another team, the LB's being a team, the secondardy being a team, the offensive "skill postions being a team, but they are not a team together and all that starts with the coaches not being a team. It's like putting good parts to an motor in a box and shaking them around and expecting an engine to pop out. Just Sayin'

Since nobody is going to write a check for $60 Million, he'll be for years to come. If he can't get things turned around quickly, the nil donors will stop giving, and we'll be 5-7 or 6-6 most years.
