The MUST PROTECT DADDY reflex doesn't provide many offensive opportunities.

there are plenty of things to talk about, border security, new refineries, inflation, gun owners rights, baby killers defeated in some states, a real budget

Deficit?

What is the Republican plan to fight inflation?

Jun 28, 2022, 9:18 PM [ in reply to Re: Democrats keep republicans on defense ]

I picked that one out because it's probably the #1 issue that's going to affect elections this year and into the future.

#2 would be gas prices, so if you'd like to answer that one too, go for it.

Re: What is the Republican plan to fight inflation?

Jun 28, 2022, 9:23 PM

i would say increase the fuel supply, since everything is delivered to the store by a diesel truck, lower that cost and bada bing

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

lol, okay. And what about inflation?

Jun 28, 2022, 9:30 PM

The issue with gas prices is due to the world market supply being down due to OPEC+ not meeting their quotas, so unless you know of a way to increase our domestic Oil supply to cover that loss (we can't) then you're gonna have to find another way.

Re: lol, okay. And what about inflation?

Jun 28, 2022, 9:32 PM

i would say increased fuel cost is a big part of inflation

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah, it's part, but not 100%.

Jun 28, 2022, 9:37 PM

So what's the plan that Republicans will run on?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Yeah, it's part, but not 100%.

Jun 28, 2022, 9:42 PM

Apparently, the magic pipeline that is used for importing foreign oil somehow increases domestic production. Seriously, that is their narrative.

Re: Yeah, it's part, but not 100%.

Jun 28, 2022, 9:47 PM

a long term committment (25 years) with the oil industry could get production up, it is also a national security issue too

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Yeah, it's part, but not 100%.

Jun 28, 2022, 10:04 PM

How does cancelling a pipeline that imports foreign oil reduce domestic production?

Up of shuttered refineries. Our refined gas supply is stunted due to Biden. THAT has caused price increases that could be pulled significantly back. It’s not just gas, all sorts of chemicals to make consumer products come from oil. All those have increased due to the lack of refined oil.
Don’t be so biased…

Re: lol, okay. And what about inflation?

Jun 28, 2022, 9:48 PM [ in reply to lol, okay. And what about inflation? ]

It’s been said a billion times in here.

“So, the current Secretary of Energy seems to believe that corporations are going to just invest billions in new drilling, production and refining capacity now, even though the federal government plans to shut them down within the next 5 to 10 years. That amounts to the “carrot and stick” approach to government, only without the carrot.”

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

So what is the republican plan to lower gas prices?

Jun 28, 2022, 9:56 PM

If it's simply to critique the long-term support of the fossil fuel industry by democrats, how will that lower prices at the gas pump in the present day?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: So what is the republican plan to lower gas prices?

Jun 28, 2022, 10:03 PM

Ban liberals from buying it. That’s what you voted for, give it up.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'll take that as an acknowledgment there is no plan***

How are you increasing supply?

Jun 28, 2022, 9:43 PM [ in reply to Re: What is the Republican plan to fight inflation? ]

Pipelines that take years to build? Increase leases when oil companies are already sitting on unused ones? Then are you forcing them to sell to the US? Cause we already export fuel based on global prices.

Re: How are you increasing supply?

Jun 28, 2022, 9:50 PM

i think we need a couple new refineries, top of the line, efficient

HOUSTON, June 21 (Reuters) - Capacity for U.S. oil refiners fell in 2021 for the second year in a row, the most recent government data showed on Tuesday, as plant shutdowns kept whittling away on their ability to produce gasoline and diesel.

Liberals stop using fossil fuels, like they promised. Supply increases for everyone else.

Re: How are you increasing supply?

Jun 28, 2022, 9:58 PM

i think we could spend some money promoting 4 cylinder vehicles, many folks like myself drive a V8 company vehicle, only need an I4 for what i do

cut costs/fuel consumption by 30%?

increased supply BAM!

i think the US consumes 18 million barrels each day, then throw in the new illegals, who will need a pickup truck, be 20 million barrels in no time lol

Re: How are you increasing supply?

Jun 28, 2022, 10:08 PM

Lots of jet fuel is used to fly illegals, Hollywood types, and DC elites around. Lots of savings there.
