Demarkcus Bowman sitting at Florida just like he did here

Florida released its first depth chart of the regular season on Monday ahead of the Gators’ game against Florida Atlantic.
One notable piece is that Clemson transfer Demarkcus Bowman is not on the top three list at running back and the starters are listed as Dameon Pierce, or Malik Davis.
I wonder if the young man will bolt from Gainesville to again find somewhere that will let him start and be happy.
Seriously, I wish Bowman good luck, but find it interesting that he may be in the same situation as a water lizard as he was as a Tiger.

kinda reassuring that we really didn't lose too much with his transfer.sounds like losing melusi just might be a much bigger deal.

I figured he would push Lyn-J for the starting role this year then eventually take over, but who knows, maybe Shipley ends up somewhere else had Bowman stayed.
Bowman’s HS film was incredible, I figured he was a sure thing as long as he could fit in.
I liked Melussi, but he didn’t seem to have that star potential. More of a steady grinder, similar to Taylor at UW, but a notch below. Cool to see him get the start though. Not a transfer I’m salty about, like Bowman, DK, or Jones.

He is probably the starter against UGa (or at least co-starter w/Lyn-J) if he'd not transferred.

Yes, he would if he had stayed and earned it.

Bowman is very, very talented as a runner. Dabo and Elliott and CJ would've made him learn to block which is probably something he doesn't like to do. It's a necessary part of being a running back in our offense....and probably Florida's too.

Is that the same depth chart they had for the start of fall camp, just like the one Dabo put out? Could be a ploy not to give Fla Atlantic an advantage? Lol!

I have heard from "sources" in the program that Bowman really didn't like the idea that he actually had to go to class and study hall. This makes me wonder if the same is happening in Gainesville.....

And Dixon and Dukes!
I like the RB room a lot!
Outside of Shipley and Pace maybe no home run hitters - but solid backs who can get you chunks of yards at a time.

Mafah is going to be a stud. I have a feeling as pure back, he could be a top 5 all time. A guy like Shipley will have the talent to play all over the field, but he isn't going to pound the line like Mafah will. That dude was a studd last yr until injured. Don't get me wrong, I think Shipley is going to do great things for us but for some reason people seem to be over looking Mafah. Although, many also questioned the recruitment of Pace with his 4.78 40yd, yet now everyone loves him. Mafah is gonna turn heads before this year is over.

Or next year. Mafah is strong and will eventually have a shot. He is RB4 right now but may move up through the year.

... not patting Bowman on the back and giving him a great big “best of luck” on his way out of Clemson.
I was pretty hard on him when he made his decision.
Oh well ...
