Day’s decision to punt from our 39 yard line with 3 minutes to go

is such a beta move...it’s amazing how he underestimated our offense.

Clemson offense has proven that it can march down the field with the game on the line, especially in monster games like this.

would have beaten us if they had made that two point conversion is BS. We had plenty of time to at least get into field goal range. Now, whether Potter would have actually made it or not is a whole nother issue. :)

Yea, that was my opinion at the time as well. I think it was 2 or 3 yards. Just couldn't understand that move. Thanks.

Bad decision at the time and even worse decision in retrospect. If you want to be the national champion, you need to beat the National champion on the field. If the offense goes for it and makes a first down, they win the game. If they fail to get a first down Clemson has 60 yards rather than 94 yards. 60 yards or 90 yards for the defense is not a big deal. either they stop us or they don’t. Either we make four big plays and score a touchdown or we don’t.

Hopefully his therapist will get him to think about his red zone offense failures and this decision. Will take his mind off of the targeting call and the catches that were overruled. He will be less angry and he will be a better coach.
