Tommy West was D coordinator for a while. Seems like a future Baylor coach was also a coordinator.

Didn't they call Bill -"Brother" Oliver?
I believe he was an Alabama guy too.

whole lot of turnover at the Coordinator positions during his tenure.
'79 Jimmy Laycock (Offensive) , Mickey Andrews (Defensive)
'80 thru '85 Offensive Coordinator was Nelson Stokely
'86 thru '89 Offensive Coordinator was Chuck Reedy
'80 Defensive Coordinator was still Mickey Andrews
'81 thru '88 Defensive Coordinator was Tom Harper (died of a heart attack in May 1989, he had already stepped down as Defensive Coordinator)
'89 Defensive Coordinator was Bill Oliver

I pulled out my Orange Bowl program and the pictures and list of Assistant Coaches does not mention coordinators. Tom Harper was Assistant Head Coach and DL coach. Nelson Stokley was QB coach and Chuck Reedy was RB coach so one of them probably called the plays.
