Dabo's gotta fix the kick return defense now or else

It could lose the Uga game this year....One year WE had them beat in Athens in 2002 I was there.. they couldnt do anything but get popped every play by the Tigs ..and then a KO return for TD turned the gm for them and we lost...We gotta get it fixed in 2013!!2012 was really bad.The Usuc gm was lost partly due to them starting at the 40 on every drive..

the kickoff td by fsu last season turned that game. Just kick it out of the endzone every time!

average the past 2-3 years.Does anyone think the extra time to learn our new offense has taken time away from these 3 areas, which is why they have been subpar recently?

Almost got it once. Think that was mostly due to how fired up we were.

its simple really, returns have suffered since Ford and Spiller got done...as for kick off coverage our lack of quality lb and db depth is more responsible for this..as for punt blocks not many folks go after punts anymore...not like they used to anyway

I know we had enough speed to kick short so as to try and down the ball inside the 20 but somehow we didn't seem to get there fast enough.
Our guys didn't seem to block well when we received either.
You gotta give LSU a lot of the credit for that game too. They had a top shelf return and cover team. I don't excuse our lack of play on either side of the ball and agree that we've got a lot of work to do there.

I doubt Alexander will ever see the field on kick return defense, especially if he's starting at corner.

The lack of good, consistant KO coverage contributed significantly to both our 2012 losses to SCar & FSU. It definatley needs to improve, but maybe part of the answer is to have Bradley Pinion kick the ball out of the back of the end zone. I understand he did it consistantly in HS, and should be able to do so at the college level unless he is kicking into a stiff breeze. I know the KOs come from 5 yards further back than HS, but added age and leg strength over the last year should compensate for that.
