He took over the team as a young man with less experience than most. He is an innovator. He is in constant change, never stuck in the past.
He experiments and "fails forward" learning things other folks don't know.

best coach we've ever had. But good grief, the guy has made mistakes. Especially after 2018. He made a bunch of poor decisions.
He has made changes to start climbing out of it.
You guys thinking he is infalliable are plain nuts. This is where the cult references come from.

This might be the dumbest post of all time . Yes he took over as a young man , built a program , then forgot how he built it and nearly destroyed it. The hires of streeter and Goodwin were most certainly mistakes of epic proportion and it’s not even debatable ! Plus his ego got in the way and he set us back years by refusing to use the portal . So he has made serious mistakes over the last 4-5 years. To his credit he has me some moves this offseason that look good but time will tell . To say he doesn’t make mistakes is just not rational thinking .

I agree he's made some errors, but nearly destroyed the program is a bit much. Since 2010 we ended up ranked at the end of every season. Now, I like every Clemson fan, wish we had still been top 5-10. But we haven't been horrible. FSU is what a destroyed program would look like.
Everyone says he messed up with Streeter and Godwin. He gave them a chance, didn't work out, and moved on. It worked out with two other coaches without coordinator experience, Elliott and Scott. Maybe gave Goodwin a little too much time, but in fairness until last year it was our offensive struggles that lost games.

I posted this to reveal coots, and some have taken the bait. It is kinda depressing to see some actual TIGER Fans don't realize how good we have had it, and how that continues to this day. This success is due to DABO.
Some may not like his "long term" methods and prefer other crap, but recent TIGER success is due to him. Some folks choose to live in depression and prefer not to see the future as bright, but that is not reality.
It is a good debate we can have fun with.
I have been disappointed that very few Tnet fans are willing to go "on record" here for Dabo while many against have. Maybe I am wrong, no matter as I am all in.

Attack the OP with words like absolute, never, 'thinking he's infallible', etc., etc. None of those words/terms were used. They were used ONLY by those who chose to misconstrue and attack the OP. Clearly the concept of 'fails forward' escaped you as well.
He's right...you were called out. Deal with it...move on. Oh by the way, he complimented you by accepting your remarks as 'debate'. Kind of him...not even close by you.

See tug, when speaking colloquially, and replacing “Humor is” with “humor’s”, the apostrophe represents the missing i from the combined words, much like the apostrophe in didn’t represents the missing o.

It would have been great, if we didn’t run it the week before , when we didn’t need to. To run the same play is insane.

Allowing 2 trick plays to be called for Phil Mafa vs the coots were 2 of his biggest mistakes. Both resulted in fumbles at crucial points in both games. Big Big Big mistakes.

Trick plays are great, but timing is what matters. We seem to use them when we don’t need to and then when we need them, they don’t always work.

Dabo isnt a God. Its statements like "Dabo doesn't make mistakes" that turn even the biggest Clemson fans off from the cultish behavior. He's a man. He absolutely makes mistakes. He will tell you himself he makes mistakes. That being said, in do trust him because he's earned my trust, shows the ability to self reflect, and understands he isn't perfect. It's the pursuit of perfection that matters.
Maybe semantics here, but I can't stand it when people say things so definitively like the OP did.
