... have to play against him.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think we have had an alum and ex-Tiger coach as an opposing ACC Head Coach since Mike O'Cain at NC State.
In fact, that might be the only one ever.

Obviously he will listen when time is right, but converting team from option is not going to be quick. Harder than Chads job at ArK out of the gate. Games every year vs Clemson and UGA. Starting the Coastal one down every year since they are only one with CU as perm cross division. I think he goes elsewhere if he leaves but could be stepping stone if he can show enough to last

With the contracts they give out these days

with all the guaranteed money and whatnot, it'd be hard to refuse GT. Elliott is well-paid, but still makes less than a mil yearly (roughly 1/4 of what PJ was making at GT this year).

Tech isn't exactly strapped with cash. Plus if recent events are considered, their employees couldn't be watched close enough if they.

Not harder than Chad's job. Arky has Alabama, Auburn, A&M, and LSU in their division.
GT has the Powder Puff girls.

Plus he'd most likely get more patience out of the GT fanbase than Morris will with the Arkansas fans.

Major bad decision if he takes it. Tony

Would not have success for at least 3 years. That's a crap ton of work to completely overhaul a flexbone Offense to a more conventional offense. Just feel it would hurt his career rather than help. I hope the best for him but for a 1st time head coach thats a big ask.

I get your point but im sure hes not hurting for money. I think he would get offers from other places than GT. last checked louisville is still looking that would be a smarter decision.

Would it really though? I'm not saying it will be easy to turn things around for GT on offense, but Louisville appears to be a mess right now. They lost 7 games by 30 or more points this season including the final 5, and 3 games by 40 or more points. I think they were easily the worst team in the P5 this season.

GT at least has a chance to play for ACC CG.
Loserville is in our division = zero chance. Plus they are locked in on Brohm.
I would not want him at GT. Tough out once he gets it going. Has to beat UNC, The U, Duke, Pitt, Uva, VT every year? What easier road is there? That is a decade long cake walk if you can get any recruiting going at all.

Malzahn and Kingsbury could both be options for them.
Satterfield at App State, Neal Brown at Troy, Norvell at Memphis, or Josh Heupel at UCF may be options for them as well.

How exactly did Paul Johnson run them into the ground? He has the 4th highest winning percentage in GT history, and 1 of the coaches ahead of him was Heisman who coached from 1904-1919, and the other was Bobby Dodd who coached from 1945-1966.
GT has won 10 or more games just 5 times since 1956, and 2 of those were with Paul Johnson. GT had lost 5 or more games in 7 straight seasons prior to Johnson, and in fact GT had lost 5 or more games in 17 of their prior 22 seasons before Johnson took over.
I'm not saying Johnson turned them into anything better than that, but I certainly don't see how he ran anything into the ground. There was a reason why they were desperate enough to hire a coach running the option in the first place. They are an afterthought in that state with Georgia, and now Clemson has become bigger and bigger, and the academics there are a major hurdle for recruiting.

Tashard Choice, Calvin Johnson and Demaryius Thomas. I couldn't name a single guy on their roster now. It's a joke of a program.
They haven't been able to compete for championships with PJ's players.

I believe GT is a dead end job. And their facilities are the worst in the ACC. I heard some FCS schools have better facilities. It would take a lot for me to leave the environment Dabo has created at Clemson. I think Coach Elliott’s talents would be wasted at GT.
