I am an amateur poster so this may have been discussed but I saw a segment on ESPNU where an SI reporter said Brown probably out at Texas and Dabo would be a top prospect. Was he blowing smoke or what?

He's not their first choice nor likely their 2nd but with the Texas talent pool and the ability to pay coordinators twice what he pays them now, he could probably do very well at UT. Also, UT is not a redneck Bama type place and his "nice guy" personality would be a good fit for UT's highbrow alumni.
If Dabo got an interview and wanted the job he could probably sell himself to get the job.

Outside of POSSIBLY a mid-major mac type school, clemson is the ONLY d-1 school in the nation that would ever even remotely think about having Dabo as its head coach.
You do realize you are talking about Dabo freaking Swinney correct?

Because of the money, location, etc…
Texas is one of the top positions in the country IMO.
Dabo would have to accomplish more before he got an offer from Texas if you ask me. (stranger things have happened though)
If Clemson needs to be concerned about Dabo, I would think it would be that Alabama had an interest. (if Saban leaves) Considering Dabo just went out and hired his two assistants, I don't see him leaving. Texas wouldn't accept Brent Venables as their D.C. or Chad Morris as their O.C. with their ties to OU and A&M.
