I have no idea why anyone would think this is even a remote possibility.

He might decide he's just tired of the current state of college football and doesn't want to hang on through the transition to the SuperLeague, and walk away. Be he ain't getting fired. And, he certainly isn't looking for a job at another school.

What is Dabo's long-term exit strategy? CFB is so different than it was in during our 2 title run. It's still in flux and I think it's already wearing on him. Dabo surely doesn't want to go out at the end of a bad or mediocre season, but if we're having decent success, he would see no reason to leave because of his inherent optimism. It's kind of a strange dynamic. Would he want to stay indefinitely if we start going 7-5, 8-4ish every year? Fans would be beyond apathetic at that point, even more so than now. Money would slow, even more than it may already be slowing.

It will probably adopt a uniform pay scale, so no more bidding for recruits. Then Dabo could rise back to the top like he did before the chaos that NIL and the portal created undercut his way of doing things. The question is can he hold out long enough?

I’ll say this: Jimbo Fisher is hanging around like a shark in the water for the numerous firings going on. He’s licking his chops for the Clemson job. He left the cupboard FULL of recruiting talent at Texas A&M, and Mike Elko is benefiting from it. Did anyone see the
overall talent on the Aggies team against LSU? They handled LSU like JV a team. They are the best team in the SEC, and those all are
Jimbo’s recruits.

I think there's no doubt Jimbo is a very good coach but he has absolutely no idea how to run a program. He left both fsu and tam in toxic situations. Those teams were out of control disasters by the time he left.
