Dabo isn't calling the plays...

In a crucial 3rd or 4th down, is he on the head set then, YES! Find me a HC who isnt. Even Bobby Bowden (the ultimate delegator and manager) did so in those situations. Dabo stays involved and hears everything coming through, but he's not calling these plays.

We are using more 2-back sets, far less H-backs, more trips, less QB designed runs with a QB more capable of running, virtually no sweeps, attacking zone coverage with levels, and switch routes with the wide out and slot. We did almost none of this last season. Watch TCU games from last year and tell me you dont see them same play calls. The issue with going down field has been Cade in the pocket getting happy feet at times, and us facing cover 3 or even quarters coverage bc people were expecting an air raid from us.

I find it very amusing when people say Dabo is calling plays. He has some input as he should, as he is the head man. Do you think if Dabo was calling plays, that he would fire the OC?

I am happy to see what you've provided, along w the justifications. I don't understand why our line can't keep the pocket long enough for reads and separation. But this doesn't have to do w Game day coaching .
