Old school where he talks to the momma's and promises to take good care of their sons. Every commitment gets put in the rotation for the bast change of major playing time. Seniority means everything is going according to plan and nobody has to jump ahead of anyone. Especially linebacker. Players in the portal do not fit in with this type of program and it shows.

This worked for a long time until recently. Now it shows. Average teams are getting better because of the portal and they are using transfers to start. Kids with 50 to 100 snaps under their belt will play much better than 4 star players with no experience.

Things are getting ready to change. Dabo
will get it fixed. It may not happen this year
but it will happen during the off season. He
can’t afford to not change. There are to
many talented players in the portal to leave them to other teams. I think that this had been a wake up call!

Watched it live and rewatched it. Just have a feeling this was a turning point in players futures and where they want to finish.
Coaches are also responsible for this debacle and Dabo better stop the friends and family crap and being Mr Nice guy!. I’ve seen him tear into players on the side
lines when they have made mistakes,but he better start laying in to coaches also.
I have a list of coaches who need to be shown the exit door but I will wait and see.
Time for a change! We will see!

I think Heldt and Tristan Smith (we will see more of him hopefully) are examples of the portal players working out here…….
