Dabo is right that it’s not DJ fault

6.4 yards per rush, 3.4 yards per pass. Not running the ball falls on whose shoulder? Definitely not a good day passing for any league, but if we run the ball it doesn’t matter

We ran the ball fine early even with them stacking the bix

But you have to have a pass threat to keep them honest. Once they were sure DJ couldn't hurt them they stacked the box even more. I don’t why we keep trying to find any calculus remotely possible to deny this.

When the passing game is not working, but the running game is going strong you go with the hot hand. Over 6 yards per carry dictates you keep going back to the run until they are able to stop it.
And getting cute on the kickoff after the safety killed us. We had a 9 point lead and were getting the ball back with good field position. We had all the momentum and another score would have changed the complexion of the game completely.

He is right. It is not DJ's fault. It is the fault of the Head Coach who refuses to see that DJ is not a quarterback that can win the big game yet keeping him the entire game ,and it is the Offensive Coordinators fault for some very poor playing decisions.

If you have a QB who can't throw, it's definitely the QB's fault unless you want to blame the coaches for not having a QB who can throw the ball...

People are missing the actual critique here. Oversimplifying the assessment by saying "DJ is not at fault," is to answer an objection that's **not being made.** Almost no one is claiming that DJ was the sole, solitary, lonely "cause" for the loss.
Remember, Dabo (and Streeter) didn't say "it's not DJ's fault" in a vacuum . . . he said it in a particular context, and that was Andrea Adelson asking "how much [of the struggles in the passing game] was on DJ, or the WR's, or the OL." That was the context . . . NOT some discussion about DJ being 'THE' reason. In his answer, Dabo said:
"certainly DJ had some plays that he'd like to have back, BUT he was **a long way away from the reason we lost the game, THAT'S FOR SURE. He doesn't return kicks, play safety, and catch the ball. He can only control his part."
So, yeah, Dabo rightly said that DJ wasn't the answer, but in so answering, answered an objection no one is making, but by saying this, it allowed him to appear as though he answered the question that was asked (though he did not), namely: "How MUCH of the passing struggles were on each unit, respectively?"
But he didn't just leave it there, he then went FURTHER than merely not answer how he'd divvy up the results. He said there were factors other than DJ (referred to all the things DJ didn't do), and these are true facts and valid points that rightly clarify that DJ was not the sole responsible unit. But it does not address to what extent QB play **was** responsible . . . it only clarifies that it wasn't solely responsible. Ok, so then, if he left it there, we could try to read between the lines and say that Dabo simply thinks the QB play played a commensurate part as those other units, right? Well, that might be a reasonable assumption if that's all the info we had. But Dabo explicitly said that DJ was - get this - not only **not** THE (sole) reason we lost, but . . . wait for it . . . "A LONG WAY AWAY from the reason why we lost." Wrap your head around that crap.
