By taking all the pressure off his players and coaches and putting the fan’s fury on himself. Dabo has indeed out thought the “average” Tnet user. Heck, even the portal talk is down. I look for a close win down In Miami and the start to a great second half. Go Tigers!

Or a big win, with some major pieces returning?
We will see what the 1.5% say if we run Miami out of their own stadium.

Won’t happen with this offense. Would love to be wrong but nothing has shown blowout from the previous 3 years

The ACC championship game last year ended up being a blowout.

All the pressure should be on dabo, players win games and coaches lose them.

A more genius move would be to tell his players not to concern themselves with things they can't control, like fans' opinions, then practice that himself.

Hmm .. if the 12 team CFP started this year, we’d still be out. Hopefully we improve and make it next year. However, deflecting blame to the fans for the teams poor performance demonstrates a lack of accountability for his own poor choices of assistants and lack of player development. Lead by example, quit pointing fingers, fix the problems and look in the mirror for improvement. You’re the one coaching, Coach. It’s just smoke and mirrors to the real issues.

It’s easy to tune out fan based distractions when you are simultaneously focused on avoiding vehicular manslaughter charges. Kirby really is a genius.

You're free to drag Kirby, Saban, Beamer or any other coach into this if you want. Doesn't change the fact that your coach appears to be overly concerned with what people like you think. I'm sure that will end well.

But then, if the coach is unconcerned about fans opinions, he’s accused of being detached and aloof. Because the fans write his paycheck. The best thing to do is win, because winning cures all. As a Georgia fan, you should know this best. Remember all those years of having the best running backs in the nation and couldn’t beat South Carolina? I’m sure you do.

It will be used against us in recruiting. It doesn't convey competitiveness from a head coach that everyone wants. It's a little virtue signaling. It's a deflection from a cumulation of decisions/evaluations/performances not being up to the Best as the Standard goal that lies one the staff and players.
It's a little like Hillary's "deplorables" comment. It draws attention to where attention is not needed.

Good call, taking out Miami is a critical step. Get the offense in a flow then we can beat anyone with the way the D is playing!

Dabo is a really smart guy, but let's be honest he said it out of frustration.
I just dont see the value in talking with the media right now because none of this crap is helping recruiting or strengthen the culture of the program.
It's just prideful venting… just because he’s right doesn't mean it needs to be said, right?
