statement is the fact that many Tigers don't consider a bowl game against Oklahoma to be "silly."

Despite this season, Oklahoma is precisely the type of team that we should look forward to playing, regardless of the venue or who may or may not be on our team.

Naturally, like everyone else, I would prefer our best talent to be available; but I won't admit defeat prior to the game...never have...never will. Nor do I recall ever thinking that we shouldn't play in a bowl despite the odds. Some may call my view naïve, which is understandable. However, I recall a season once when few, if any Tigers, thought we had much of a chance against Georgia, then UNC, then Nebraska....1981, comes to mind.
