Curious if anyone at the game noticed how far behind Keenan Stadium seemed?

I was shocked how bad UNC's stadium was, audio visually. I know they are a basketball first school, but I felt like their stadium was merely a step above a high school stadium, and not speaking hyperbolic. We were just under tiger band in the sun near the top of the lower deck and we had trouble hearing the PA announcer.
Their video boards looked like they were picked up at Best Buy in a pre Super Bowl clearance sale. it was hard to see the replays on the challenges well enough. to make a call. The scoreboard showed zero stats, and the down and distance, ball spot hardline, timeouts etc were squished on the ribbon board between the two decks. Maybe there was a better scoreboard behind us, but it was really hard to keep up at a weird viewing angle. I would have settled for a first down chain crew on the opposite (home) side of the field.
Just felt like a microcosm of the emphasis that the ACC schools put on football. in the day of age where attendance is waning and every game is on TV, fan experience is crucial. Keep spending that money on basketball and the wine and cheese crew will stay happy.
Nice to get back into the win column, not the prettiest game but it's a whole lot easier to correct mistakes after a win. Go Tigers.

Agree with that, but their restrooms were very clean. They also had some great ice cream @ halftime! The individual seats are much more comfortable than the bleacher seating we have at Clemson.

The stadium seating is a huge improvement over bleachers.

I’ve gotten beer at stadiums for cheaper than what they charged for water ($10)

We were on the road a lot of yesterday and had to settle for the Heels radio network. Their announcers commented around the end of the first quarter that some sections were starting to fill up - and other sections were already starting to empty!

Not sure if it still stands, but years ago some big donor gave a bunch of money but UNC had to agree to not build higher than the trees around the stadium.

I was wandering around the Rams Club which is really nice, but yeah, scoreboards, sound system, etc. are antiquated.

I think UNC was one of the first schools do a player facility/lounge type building in their end zone back in the 90's (1st Mack Brown era) as simple as it was compared to the football palace facilities being built today. They probably just sat on that for some time without spending any money on the football stadium or facilities kind of like we did after the 80's (in the 90's into the early 00's).
