No, I think you misread it . The article states, “A lot of people close to him say they all like Clemson but wouldn’t be surprised if he picks Tennessee or Southern Cal,” which means that that the family loves us, but don’t be surprised if he picks Tennessee or Southern Cal. I think it’s ultimately down to us and Tennessee though.

Not sure if it was quickly revised, but I thought I read that as well. It states "looks like a battle with Tennessee and Southern Cal" now. Definitely sounds better. LOL

I'm feeling like he will end up being a Clemson commit bc I think the young knows by now that he couldn't play for a better HC than Dabo Swinney but, if I'm wrong we will still be in good shape, and Mike will be the biggest loser by not taking the advantage of playing for our Tigers and Dabo. yes this is just my opinion, but it's as good as anyone else's opinion that may have him committing to someone else, but there's nothing wrong with positive thinking....

Clemson and Hollywood are complete opposites in about every way. Don’t see how a young man who likes that Hollywood lifestyle would be happy in Clemson. At the end of the day it is his decision not his family’s. Sure hope he changes his mind and comes to God’s country!

Obviously, closer than Clemson though.
USC has a really nice campus, but it is in a terrible part of LA (not that I really think that there are any nice parts of LA; maybe Malibu, but it is kind of a stretch to call Malibu part of LA).

Love to have a house overlooking Laguna Beach, the drive to & from USC would be worth it. The real USC would be nice if you stayed on campus, a lot of have & have nots surrounding.
UCLA would be much nicer though.
I would just major in beach studies on Laguna Beach, beat weather ever.

This one is interesting as he's explicitly choosing mainly between Clemson & two rising, historic programs that offer pay-for-play.
I don't want pay-for-play & the NCAA seems to be doubling down on that being their only rule, so we'll have to see.
Still, not sure why none of the new recruits are ever in pictures with Coach Riley or mention him at? I can't imagine he's not at least partially responsible for some of the recent deluge of top-shelf commits but it's hard not to notice his absence at this point; it's regular for OC's (& really any positional coach or assistant) to be in pics with their players, even Coach Scott did it plenty, but maybe next season we'll see more of it.
For now, & maybe this is a blessing, but they seem to be picking Clemson for Clemson straight up in spite of coaches outside of Coach Swinney himself. Dude's definitely doing the work. Go Tigers!
