Critical game?

Dec 26, 2021, 10:05 PM

Our Bowl game is not what any of us wanted but I believe it is a critical game for the future. Getting that 10th win, with new coordinators would be huge. Potential recruits need to see that even though we had a tough season we are still a place they can get a great education, play for a great coaching staff and play for Championships. We need a big win, Go Tigers.

Don’t argue with this guy

I’ve learned that instead of calling out the real coots on this board, he instead calls out people that he doesn’t like. He’s got that FGF mentality.

Always an insightful and valuable input. Like a broken record, “stuck” repeating the same lame response.

I think it is a game with a lot more upside than downside. A win keeps the 10 win season streak alive, provides momentum for next year with new staff etc, and really highlights the Clemson football culture because we have no opt outs in this post season of players and teams opting out all over the place. If we lose it gets lost in the weirdest bowl season and just the weirdest season ever. I’m not sure if I’d call it critical but a win might go a long way to getting us back to the playoffs sooner vs later.

Re: Critical game? Maybe not "critical" but still important

Dec 26, 2021, 11:02 PM

While I don't see IA State in the Orlando bowl as "critical," it is still useful if we win it.

Most important is the chance for our new coordinators to get their legs underneath them in real game action. Really helps out for the 2022 season (which is where it really matters).

Thanks for posting!
