Crap, I can't even watch the Peach Bowl

Dec 3, 2012, 10:33 AM

I am completely pumped for this game, yet have 8 tickets in hand for Widepread Panic in Charlotte, groovin' in the new year. Wow, I am very conflicted. However, I give myself a 100% chance of having fun in Charlotte.

First, there is no 'Peach Bowl'.

Dec 3, 2012, 10:34 AM

Second, who will be taking care of your cat?

Was in ATL for the 2008 Panic show/CU-Auburn Peach bowl....always fun when the two crowds mix.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I would go to both if they were in the same town***

Dec 3, 2012, 10:40 AM

I could still catch the last 3 hours of the show if they played like last year.

Did you go to last year's NYE show?***

Dec 3, 2012, 10:39 AM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

naw, first NYE with our daughter put the nix on the NYE plan

Dec 3, 2012, 10:44 AM

but we decided to do the Fillmore show this year in place of NYE last year.

2024 purple level memberringofhonor-greenr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

That's going to be a great one

Dec 3, 2012, 10:54 AM

An intimate experience I'm sure. Last years NYE was crazy so we got hooked and had to come back this year. The tickets said 9pm, we were walking in at 9:15pm with the lights still on in the Arena, and they came out and started jammin. Approximately were the set times:

Set 1 was 9:15-10:30,
set 2 was 10:45-midnight,
set 3 was 12:30-1:20 acoustic and a
FULL encore set from 1:30-2:30am.

Never been to such a energetic and long show.

Saw Panic at the Filmore here in NYC

Dec 3, 2012, 11:01 AM

That places hold only about 1000 people and the crushed it in there. Love small venues.

2024 purple level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpg2006_ncaa_champ.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

my concern is too many people for a small venue...I heard

Dec 3, 2012, 11:13 AM

the Myrtle Beach HOB shows got kinda fiesty, too many people in there. I saw em at the Fox in ATL and it was great to be that small. This is even smaller, but it should be worth it. We havent seen them since June or July 2010 I think.

Dec 3, 2012, 10:38 AM

Seems like the obvious chioce. You wont even need to check your phone for score updates after set break.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'll be in LA

Dec 3, 2012, 10:40 AM

Going to the Rose Bowl Parade the following day. I'll most likely watch the game and then go for dinner.
