Pretend to be surprised and feign irritation with said poll or article, because he “loves” the Tigers and pulls for them when they aren’t playing Georgia.
Throw out some weak insincere backhanded compliment for Clemson …
Then step back to enjoy the usual reaction.

Clemson’s overall success in the playoff era, second only to Alabama, really, really blisters him. It bothers him even though his team has won the last 2. Clemson has had far more success over the playoff era compared to UGA. He knows that, hates it, and comes here and plays his games because he’s jealous.

Clemson fans can give off a new money vibe which can be annoying. But that is starting to mellow with time and continued top 10 success.
Still wouldn’t put the fan base anywhere as annoying as ‘canes , etc. Also, the Gators - when they had their run - THAT is a fan base that couldn’t handle new wealth. Clemson has handled much better imho.

Coots should be #1 on this list. How could anyone continue to support that outfit after all these years of losing and obnoxious behavior is beyond me. Not sure how they gathered their information but I would be willing to bet that USCUCK was #1 in the Drunken Frat Boy Fighting category and probably #1 or #2 in Fat Chick Short Stroking behind the tailgate table. Only reason I think they might be #2 is because NCST has a lot of short strokers, as well.

They are all great fan bases and could be ranked in about any order.
Personally I would have Nebraska at the top. Sellouts every game, every year since the 60's. (Admittedly they may have played with the number s bit a few years ago to keep the streak intact)

This is probably one guy. I mean what is the criteria?
IMHO if anyone wants to get an idea of how fanbase really is then you need to go attend a game and see how they are treated inside and outside the game. Before and after the game.
It’s pretty well known that LSU fans are insane. You don’t want to be a visiting fan. GA game day is awful. All they do is bark at literally everyone and one of the biggest drunk fests you will see.
If I were ranking fans I would rank them based on them based on how passionate and hospitable they were.

Barking and drinking isn’t all GA fans do. That is obnoxious but at least tolerable. They are terribly obscene, throw beer and other stuff, and follow and intimidate young female fans from the opposing team. Had my daughter scared to death when she went there as a student mascot. Probably a good thing we were tailgating somewhere else or this old man might still be in jail. My in-laws are all big GA fans and some have very longstanding connections there so we have been several times. That last time in 2014 has put that place right next to the chicken coop for places I really don’t ever want to go to.

I've been to a few Nebraska games and their fans are 2nd to none. Really, really crazy about their Huskers. We were really treated great, also, at their tail gaiting.
