Coastal is down to 3 teams

with Pitt winning last night.
UVA currently holds the edge over Pitt. Virginia Tech will win the coastal if they win out. They only way Pitt can win is if they win out and hope VT beats UVA.

Don't want PITT, personally, b/c they didn't give us enough practice time in ACCCG

From a crowd/attendance standpoint...

VT would be the best option.
UVa and especially Pitt won't travel very well IMO.
They rarely sell out their own home games.

Funny last night in OT when the announcer (for those who hadn't already muted the game) were talking about crowd noise and UNC picking to go toward the Pitt student section.

Actually they were wrong. Heels won the toss and choice to go on defense. Pitt picked the side of the field.

Pitt made the trip last year...

and got their a$$es handed to them.
This year won't be any different and they know it, so I doubt many of them would want to pay/travel to see that again.

I think UVA will probably show up crowd-wise....

The novelty of it all and a reasonable trek from Charlottesville to Charlotte should be a good combination. Not sure if they would do it annually....but I could see them showing up for this one.

Miami can beat Duke to be 5-3, but could possibly win the Coastal, but the % would be minuscule.
Any win by VT in their remaining 3 games (GT, Pitt, UVA) would eliminate Miami as VT beat Miami.
We can just wait until this Saturday and if VT wins at GT, then Miami is eliminated.

This is really reaching to try to make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t for whoever we face in the ACCCG, but I guess since Pitt beat UCF and played Penn St very close on the road, they would have the best resume if they win out?! Maybe. Its rough trying to justify the Coastal, man. But I'd like to play a ranked team in the ACCCG. Can any of these three get ranked by then?

Pretty sure that if UVA, Pitt or VT wins out, they will be ranked...

9-3 record will get them in top 25. Others will have dropped out by then.
The problem comes when none of them win out and you end up with a bunch of 5-3 teams.
I think UVA gets it done. I also think Miami wins out and could get ranked, even though they won’t win division. Pitt could get ranked too if they win out.

Not quite. Miami can win out and go 5-3. If VT only wins one of their remaining 3, they would be 4-4. Plus, anything more than a 2-way tie would mean head to head may not be enough to settle the decision.

I want UVA to win it just because that will mean

literally all 7 teams in the coastal have won the division in the last 7 years which is just the most ACC Coastal thing that could possibly happen.
2019 - Virginia? 2018 - Pitt 2017 - Miami 2016 - VT 2015 - UNC 2014 - GT 2013 - Duke

VT will beat UVA. Pitt just needs to Boston College and VT. The VT - Pitt game may decide the Coastal winner.
