Coaches don't normally survive this kind of

domination at the hands of their arch rival in any sport. I don't think our administration is ready to make a move yet, but this has to change soon. It surprises me how many people are so supportive. I have to believe if this were football(sadly it has been recently) you wouldn't see so many come to Dabo's defense. I think we feel a closer connection to our baseball coach because the game is so much more intimate, for lack of a better word. If the absolutely loaded Clemson team with Khalil(sp.) Green, Jeff Baker among others couldn't beat Tanner and company, we should have seen the writing on the wall back then. They've improved and we've regressed. Do you think Tanner wants to see JL go? I do think Jack is a pretty good coach, just not good enough to stem the tide coming from Columbia.

Question, who can you get that Tanner won't own. He has won 2 straight NCs , so, he is beating everybody.

We saw what Meyer could do when pitching virtually a full game today. Meyer - 2; Gamecocks - 1. He was great. Why don't we let guys routinely go that kind of distance. I am not advocating that we go way overboard with a pitch count. However, if we are an inning or two away from having a starter get through a game and his stuff is still good, we should let him go as long as possible. It seems we manage by inning, instead of by batter and what part of the order is up for the opposing team. In a one or two run game these decisions are huge! We often bring in a new guy who has trouble locating at first and open ourselves up to trouble (i.e. walks).
In baseball, I think too much attention is paid to the pitchers arm. We don't hear complaints about coaches sending a wide receiver on too many quick slants. If it works, it works we say. This could be dangerous but it is not talked about non-stop during the game by announcers like the pitch count is in baseball.

That don't make one bit of sense. Dabo is 1-3 against UCS. 1-3. Lost three in a row. And are we gonna fire him? No way, he got us the first conf champ in 20 years. Let's not worry about those Coots so much and worry about being successful as a hole. You don't have to beat UCS to be successful...although it suuure wood be nice.

Bringbackdanny......are you serious? Are you really satisfied with winning the ACC as it currently sits. Much akin to winning the tallest midget contest. I suppose you find it OK to get embarressed by an average NC State team, Physically dominated for the third year in a row by USC, and absouletly humiliated by WVU in fornt of a national TV audience as genius Dabo says before the game that he was looking forward to the nation remembering Clemson's defense after the game. Well he was sure right on that one. Yet, all the talk I hear is about a big extension for Dabo. Sometimes things just don't make sense in this world.

We did well. It is good that it was so close. The Gamecocks baseball program is good. Close shows that we are good too. Their football. . .not so much. There is no excuse for that.

They invested 40 million in a new ball park and have been on roll ever since. I went down to see thw tigers play saturday coaching didn't cost them the game it was a great game. USC has a great ball paek and U can see why players want to go play in it. I don't understand why they put it where they did, they couldn't picked a worse site. There had to be a better spot in columbia than that. No parking surrounded by wharehouses no major road frontage awful site. Great ball park.

I disagree. Too many bunts and bad pitching changes cost us.

If you're gonna bunt the guys at least need to get them down. Teach me to bunt. Teach me not to interfere. Quit getting picked off. Hit a sac fly with a man on 3rd and less than 2 outs. Our baseball iq is terrible.

n pretty good. It's not like we're losing to a .500 team.
It's frustrating as hell, but usuc is in a golden age right now, doing better in football and baseball than at any time in their history, and that's not including wins over Clemson.
We can fire Leggett all you want, but it won't mean we get better unless the new guy is awesome. Not many coaches have 6 CWS appearances in 20 yrs.
