You want the full scoop on Deshaun in Houston? Here it is

Lengthy read from SI but it includes just about everything. The primary focus is the disaster named Jack Easterby.
I want Deshaun traded outta here for his own good and I'll permanently dump the Texans (as will many others in Houston) and make his new team my favorite team.
DW4 was my favorite college player of all time. When the Texans drafted him, I was ecstatic! But they've blown it all. Cal McNair has no business owning an NFL franchise.
I still have hope Easterby will resign. This won't cure all problems here but 90% is a good start. I don't like the way Caserio was hired, but he's a legit football man that knows what he's doing.

I support DW every day all day. Hope he can get out of there and go where he will be best utilized. Too good to waste.

No. People weren't wrong about BOB. He was not a scapegoat

But I won't derail this thread and will leave the focus solely on Easterby.
BOB is gone now so no need to beat a dead horse.

Much Better. As in Massively Better

BOB was extremely toxic. He had shouting matches with JJ Watt and his own DC on the same day. The next day he was fired. It was like a 100-lb weight was lifted off everybody.
The entire vibe of the team immediately changed. They started having fun and playing for each other and the results showed on the field, despite having Romeo Crennel as the acting head coach.

Clowney, Duke J, Tunsil, Hopkins + poor cap management...

All can be left at BOB's feet; the Tunsil & Hopkins trades are inexplicable-to make those trades in good faith, on behalf of the Texans-still don't buy it, as bad as a straight up swap DH for a 2nd round pick is, BOB wanted to really get ephed over?nobody in there right mind would view, an injury plagued RB (David Johnson) w/ a 10mil cap hit, as a roster addition of net value-it's 10mil salary dump & a rb who needs a walker to get around, -

got a free 3rd round pick for him, Duke Johnson was a good signing, he got injured, same as Randall Cobb. Tunsil has played well, they needed an elite LT and they went out and got one, I honestly don't see what the problem is with that and the poor cap management came from overpaying players, some like JJ happened well before the role was foisted onto BOB

by being better at being a GM... their player acquisitions were atrocious under BOB, he acquired very little in the way of franchise players and that's not to say that Rick Smith did a good job before him. But Smith did find pieces that begin to lay the foundation for what BOB should have been able to build on, but didn't... and I will say that he even tore down a lot of that foundation as GM...

He may not have pursued the position

but he didn't turn it down when it was offered. the fact that he accepted the position along with the pay and the perks made him responsible for the results.
If he didn't want it, he should have heeded Nancy Reagan's advice, "Just say No"... Nuk has spoken freely about the frosty relationship he had with BOB, which may be a reflection of Cal McNair and Jack Easterby's way of running the team, but as GM, BOB should have found a way to make it work his way if he didn't agree with what was coming down from the top...
Cal and Jack deserve as much blame as anyone, but BOB deserves as much as they do as well...

That seems like an organization that has no positive path forward. Good Luck DW! Be the man you are.

He is team president. He has nothing to do with player personnel and the coaching staff. That is the job of the GM. The team president at most NFL organizations handles facilities, marketing, ticketing, basically anything and everything not player or .coach related.

I think he’d look great in teal and orange. Deshaun for Tua, #3, and #36 picks.

He’s a great guy and amazing player. The Texans’ franchise isn’t being run well. Here’s to all parties working things out there. But if they can’t, then I hope Deshaun finds a better situation.

If I'm the Browns I trade Baker Mayfield + draft picks + players for DW4. Whatever it takes to pry him from that miserable franchise in Houston. CLE would win the Superbowl with Deshaun leading them, no chance with Baker.
