What benefit does an undefeated Power conference team such as Texas or Ohio State have in playing their conference championship game now? If Alabama is 12-0 and the #1 team after the final regular season game, why risk player injuries or potentially losing the Conference Championship game and lowering their seed for no benefit. Do you think the committee would punish teams for opting out?

it is annoying that ND gets a vote as if they are their own conference. that is complete nonsense.

Exactly. That is the big reason why they will never join a conference.

Why should they join a conference when they get anything they want having it their way as an independent private school. ND joining a conference would be like putting a loaded 12 gage to their head and pulling the trigger bc joining a conference would be the same as committing suicide for them...

ND should be treated like any other team. If they don’t like it then let them start their own league. Special handling is BS.

With wealth and power. SEC, B10 and ND have those two items in abundance and just exerted that influence. A story as old as time.

Most "experts" are saying the most likely date is 2030. I still say it will be before that. My story is 2027 for Clemson to be in P2 and for SuperLeague to start either 2027 or 2028.

Texas and Penn State would have gotten the two byes last year. Screw Arizona St. and Boise St. Only SEC and B1G teams matter. Even though Boise St should have never gotten Top 4 last year with their Group of 5 schedule.

Don't ask me how, but there needs to be a neutral administration overseeing the CFP and college football in general.

Texas, Georgia, LSU, and Alabama, with Ole Miss and Tennessee right behind. Those quality losses are just so impressive.

how about if any school spends over (let's say) $15,000,000.00 to build a roster they cannot make the playoffs. Really have to level the playing field somehow.

any Top 4 seed will be earned now "in the eyes of the College Football Playoff committee"...lol!

Let's just dispense with the BS right now and just say out loud what everyone already knows. It's in the eyes of ESPN.

It's also time to stop catering to Notre Dame and giving them a fee pass for sitting their a$$es at home while other top teams are competing in conference championship games. Either force the bee bee heads to join a league or eliminate conference championship games and crown regular season champions.
