College Football News bowl projections. Clemson to Gator bowl (link)

Seems reasonable. A lot of things can happen over the course of the season. For the most part, these projections are acceptable, but surprises always occur!!

I know I’ll be going to at least 3 Clemson games this year as the designated driver!

Klubnick plays.

It could be a playoff team or it could be a 4rd place in the ACC.

Any projections in that range are OK - but they aren't more "right" or more "reasonable" than any other projection.

Don't bring your backhanded #### onto this site. Go find a life, fool.

Re: no one knows anything about this team until they see how

This team was 8-0 with DJU. Average QB play will have this team in a good position, but I believe Cade will excell.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

my whole point is that "belief" means nothing right now

and Bulldog should leave his purely provocative crap at the door. He's a ######### at best. Eff him and every other bulldawg.

Duke will be Away and better than who we played before.
Miami same.

FSU will be better, but at least at home.

We still haven't even competed with Notre Dame, and they whipped every one of our azzes last year, not just DJU's. Whipped. Every one. DL, OL, LB, S, WR, etc. etc.

We didn't beat UofSuC last year and now we get to go play them in Columbia.

Klubnick proved little last year, other than he could play against one of the country's worst defenses in UNC. Tennessee handed him his ###.

We still have a largely unproven and underperforming WR group. Turner looks good but he's only made a few catches, and again mostly against UNC. Randall has yet to make contested catches. B Collins still has a lot to prove before he's even in A Rogers or C Powell range. Spector is a lost cause. It doesn't look like Stellato is ever going to be healthy. etc. etc.

And finally, I've heard this BS about having a better OL for 8 years running now. Tell Dabo to stick it in his ear.

So until Klubnick puts it on the field, this is an unproven team and people need to treat it as such. Overblown expectations help no one.

But BS commentary from an UGA fan is worse than stepping in the pile he left at the door.

Kirby can't develop talent.
Kirby can't manage QBs.
Kirby can't win big games.
After the championship over Bama...Kirby is a one-hit wonder. "When Kirby wins a second championship, come back here and talk."

Astounding insight....lol!

Clemson's offense has been the issue up to this point, the defense has been good enough. Think Venables' last season with Dabo...no ACC championship, no CFP. UGA is about to experience a similar problem.

Like I said, Kirby without Monken = no CFP and no championships. Your cute little QB, your offense, and your championships were predicated on one person, Todd Monken. Now he's gone and so are UGAs chances. Your run is over. Back to normal.

Re: That's probably not as reasonable as this....

Georgia’s championships were predicated on great recruiting, player development, and depth of talent. Those are the reasons the Dawgs have won the last two national championships and the reasons they'll be favored to 3-peat.

Apr 10, 2023, 3:28 PM [ in reply to Re: That's probably not as reasonable as this.... ]

Kirby's ONLY championships came with Monken as OC. Prior to Monken UGAs offenses were abysmal considering the talent.

His player development is spotty, and hardly a testament to his coaching ability. By "player development" I'm assuming you don't mean players arrests, deaths, or just the general out of control nature of UGAs program, right?

The ONLY people who will be picking UGA to 3-peat past September will be dawg fans. Mark my words.... you're in for a very RUDE awakening.

The plays were simplified because it gave us the best chance to win with the handcuffed QB situation.

Garrett Riley couldn't have done anythjng with DJ either. In fact, I wonder if he would've been able to change his offensive philosophy enough to accommodate DJ, win 11 games and an ACC Championship.

Having a capable QB to run the offense is the biggest matter of the program's plate right now.

DJ was the issue the last two seasons, not Elliott or Street.

Re: College Football News bowl projections. Clemson to Gator bowl (link)

Apr 10, 2023, 2:33 PM

It’s all wait and see at this point, but we do know that we have a QB now that can come in and at least threaten with a downfield passing attack and not have everybody stacked up at the line to stop the run.

Tennessee brought pressure straight into Klubnik’s face and Klubnik made some bad decisions with taking big yardage sack losses from trying to turn the corner on LB’s that were faster than him, but hopefully getting a fully healthy offensive line will help to put the right pieces in place to protect him, and he’ll learn to not take such big risks and big losses over time

Streeter was so happy to have a QB that could push the ball downfield finally that he completely abandoned the run against Tennessee, and we didn’t do a good job of sending routes to replace where blitzes were coming from, but Clemson’s receivers minus Antonio Williams have not done a good job of beating man coverage, so we’ll see how that unfolds too

We do have a QB with some experience in those type of games and atmospheres. Now Georgia on that other hand is looking to replace the 25 year old phenom with a QB that we have never seen before. I’m sure everyone appreciates your input and concern, but it seems like Georgia has some worrying to do about a position that has not been very good to y’all until the 8th year senior came in, after trying out JT Daniels and others before identifying that Stetson could make plays and being reluctant to give him a chance. Yet to be seen if y’all have a guy that can fill his shoes with someone with zero experience.
