In addition to Clemson actively pursuing Kowacie Reeves here are two others the program has been in contact with:
MIKE MITCHELL, 6-2 PG, from Pepperdine
San Jose, CA product started every game as a Fr. & So. while averaging 11.4ppg, 5.0 apg, 4.2 rpg this past season. Other schools in the mix include Oregon State and Utah.
JAMISON BATTLE, 6-7 F from Minnesota
A would be fifth year guy. Played two years at George Washington before transferring to Minnesota. A host of schools are the mix for this one. Although his production was considerably down last year, he averaged over 17ppg and over 6rpg in his first year at Minnesota (Jr year) and had similar numbers at George Washington before his first transfer. Other schools that have shown interest are: Arkansas, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, LSU, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Santa Clara, Utah, Wake Forest, Xavier and Villanova

He's not in the portal, but I would assume we would go after him if he was. Not sure we need another SF though. We have Godfrey and Wiggins in his class that will probably play a lot next year.

someone would break that kid in half and they wouldn’t even call a foul. If he’s playing anything other than the 3 wing, he’ll slide outside to SG.
Scheff, Hall, and Godfrey aren’t enough bodies on the inside. Need at least 1more.

That is why losing Big Ben hurts. But on the coaching side, why didn't CBB ever play him and PJ at the same time to crash the boards and get rebounds and put-backs. Thats because CBB doesn't play the boards, he has his team scramble to opposing basket. No need for offensive board protection when everyone runs away! Brownell Ball is puzzling to me and 90% of the other fans. Some ppl vouch for his style??

Why I can’t stand “modern” bb. One player launches a 3 and the other 4 bail. Not always like that but I think analytics has gone too far.

Two more that Clemson has reportedly shown interest in:
JAVON SMALL, 6-2 G from EAST CAROLINA
Spent two years at ECU. Made a huge jump from his freshmen year when he averaged just nine minutes a game with little output to this past season- 15.8ppg, 5.6 apg, 4.8rpg.
GREG DOLAN, 6-3 G from CORNELL
Full time starter as a junior this past season. 42% from three. Avg 13pg, 3rpg, 3apg

I read a little on Reeves. Why is he so covered. Two seasons under two different head coaches and he hasn't done much. Maybe he was overated in HS?

You're not wrong. He's a high risk/high reward type who has some things yet to approve.
He's got a lot of attention because, although there is an incredible amount of players in the portal, a lesser percentage were Power 5 players that started or played significant minutes.
In my opinion JACE CARTER is a better fit.

Clemson and the following guy could be high on each other's priority list:
JACE CARTER, 6-5 Wing from Illinois-Chicago
Originally from Titusville,FL. Has played two years. Took a huge step forward this past season doubling his scoring output to more than 16ppg and is a solid rebounder at 7.0pg.
"It definitely can get hectic a little bit because I have 40-50 schools calling me to build relationships over a sort of amount of time," Carter says. "It is a lot so it is a blessing."
"I want to win and I want to go somewhere where there is a culture," Carter said. "I want to play for a fanbase that loves the basketball program and it is all about sports and athletics. I want to continue growing as a person and as a basketball player. I am looking forward to making that next jump and becoming a pro at a place where I will have a good relationship with the entire staff. I want to be happy and compete for a national championship."
Arkansas, Michigan State, Missouri, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Villanova are just some of the other high major programs Carter said he has heard from.
