Our weak schedule has really killed us so far in the RPI... but then again, if our strength of schedule was better we probably would have many fewer wins. I was really hoping this was the year that Monte and his team really turned the corner, but the stars don't seem to be lining up for that to happen.
Hopefully things will start to click as the season unfolds.

It has been a while since Will has played baseball competitively. I would not put too much hope that he will be on top of his game for a while. He will certainly be a welcomed addition to the team!!!

but point I'm trying to make is gotta win the games or else RPI doesn't really matter. We had a top 25 RPI in '08 when we missed the tourney b/c we were barely above .500 & got our butts kicked by every good team we faced. This team just got their butts handed to 'em by a Pitt team that was right @ .500 & was last in division going into last weekend. As many have pointed out, the team is gonna have to get something going (starting this weekend) or that 17-7 record is gonna turn be a distant memory once we start facing the slate of teams we gotta face in April & May

We have a couple good relief pitchers and not much starting pitching= with the meat of the schedule now starting, I don’t see but maybe 10-12 more wins.
