Clemson golfer leaving program for Alabama

Lauren Stephenson announced via Twitter that she was leaving Clemson to enroll at Alabama.

Al Ramsey, the father of Ashlan and Taylor Ramsey, who was a member of the Clemson team for four years tweeted his congratulations to Stephenson and this message.
“Clemson women’s golf program just suffered another terrible loss. There is a real reason these top players are leaving Clemson.
Young female golfers deserve to be treated better!

Maybe your daughter should have transferred there too.
12 tournaments this year, 10 cuts, 2 checks totaling 6,150.00.
Considering what it costs per week to be out on tour with travel and expenses and caddie, etc no wonder she set up a gofundme account.
You are out about 30 Large for 1/2 the year and you want to take swipes at Clemson via twitter ???

Because he doesn't have any. He works as a part time employee at the Bon Secours Arena.

Article I said she couldn't wait to get Clemson. She is a big football fan of CLemson. Always wanted to go to Clemson. Wonder what pulled her away? Coaching?

"So I have a question.. Taylor and the Clemson Women's Golf team had to play 18 holes yesterday. IF they did not shoot 76 they had to workout at 6am today. Taylor was one of 3 that was punished and had to work out. SHe was pushed past the point of exhaustion and had to quit after vomiting. She has 3 exams this week along with 3 more 6am workouts. Can anyone tell me how this makes her a better golfer?"
"THis team went from 10th in the country Novemeber of 2013 and are now ranked 105th. Ashlan left after the 2014 season amid terrible relationship with the coach. THese girls were the best of the best in Junior golf and now in college some do not even want to pick up a club and dread practice."
I am way past keeping this discussion in private because this is the last in a long line of things the coach has done to mentally, physically and verbally abuse these players. I have been to the school AD and now on to the NCAA. As for results, the team has been on a downward spiral because the majority, not all, do not like playing for him and his manipulative ways. He does not bring out the best in any of them. They are good golfers that have lost their way.
and it goes on and on. Al Ramsey and his family and friends complained more than once about the coach being too hard on the girls.

"I have a daughter on the team. Since last year, they lost Ashlan and the #2 player on the line up is sidelined. That is a significant loss to any 2nd year team. I've traveled with team twice in the last month and Coach Horton has demonstrated nothing short of outstanding coaching and patience. We can say for a fact that our daughter is extremely happy with her experience playing golf under Coach Horton and Asst Coach Janine and the entire Clemson Athletic program. Spending time with Ashlan and Taylor has been part of my daughter's good experience and I find this commentary counterproductive.
