Clemson FB and the ACC

Clemson has been in a really nice spot for a long time in the ACC. Most years there are a few competitive teams to make the schedule OK. The SC game and
a tough out of conference game has been a good formula for success.

The money gap between the ACC and the SEC and BIG 10 is of course a problem. The other problem going forward is going to be recruiting. The perception is going to be there's the two super conferences and everyone else. It's already a problem but nothing like it's going to be.
Going to be very difficult to get top players in the future. Throw in NIL money and Clemson is going to be at a huge disadvantage.
Clemson will be OK over the next 2-4 years but they better find a way to leave the ACC in the near future.

Already feel Tigers will be lucky to see 1 Natty game in next 5 years and without $ help it will be 10 years and Dabo 64.

If we were shut out and couldn't recruit players that could compete at the championship level, Dabo would I believe move on to where he could recruit and win championships, and even though we would hate him for leaving us bc of those reasons, we really couldn't blame him for doing what would be best for him with him having the talent he has for building a winning FB program... The SEC and Big 10 schools would come after Dabo offering him everything he wanted to build another Clemson in the super conference!!!

You're right, recruiting HS players would get harder than it's ever been to recruit the high 4 star and the few 5 star players that we've been getting from HS recruiting, but, I do believe that a school like Clemson could build a championship team from the portal if we had a place to play for a competitive championship.

That would be our biggest and worse draw back if we were stuck in the ACC with the SEC and Big 10 having the 2 super conferences, and all others were shut out from playing in their championship games. That would be like having a nice house to live in, but there were no roads leading to it, and you couldn't get there from anywhere....

If you win championships, the money is not an issue

endorsements will come from all over the place.

the problem is recruiting. SEC is the Ivy League of football. recruits will feel embarrassed to play in the ACC or Big Ten and not the SEC.

... i'm very concerned we don't have 2-4 years. we only have 1 remaining.
