yes problem is we needed a LB or 2 , a safety or 2, and a true running back. Dabo just used the portal to bring in a couple guys to satisfy the critics. He needed much more and was too dumb to see it. Even the receiver he got has been riding the bench when he should have been on the field. Regardless of position, when you have Turner out there in the redzone instead of a 6-5 tall target , you have no coaching acumen at all.

He only pulled in 2 players. One of them is out playing, almost every week, the guys that have been here for 3 years. Not sure how 2 players made us go 3-4.

We will see what happens in the offseason. I think the days of building a program are over. It is now build a team for each season. We can no longer bring in HS recruits to develop when everyone else is reloading from the portal. I expect to see us hit the portal hard (if we can afford it) for a complete team rebuild. I dont like it, because I am not sure we can keep the "family atmosphere" that has become the foundation of our program.
