we finally win the ACC basketball tournament championship. The is the one prize that has eluded us since the formation of the ACC. Only then IMO can we really say we have a good basketball program.

Clemson basketball will not succeed until we can recruit better players. Through the years, our coaches have done a good job with what we have and we are seeing the result of signing a top player, in PJ Hall. We need several PJ's and then we can talk about cutting down the nets.

I think the issue is consistently succeeding.

We are clearly succeeding now, and we have at a few other points in our basketball history. But we haven’t ever been able to sustain that success.
I agree that talent acquisition is the key, either through high school recruiting, the transfer portal, or ideally a combination of both. I’d like to see us consistently in the top 25-30 in recruiting rather than in the 35-45 range where we typically are. I’m optimistic that we will get there.

Hopefully, this season will get the attention of some of these higher-rated recruits that help get us where you mentioned.

I don’t think Clemson fans fully appreciate how good the current crop of freshmen is and can be. If this staff can keep them together they can be special.
Obviously we want as many PJ Halls as we can get and can take. But raising the overall level of our recruiting is what we need to do and we are finally starting to do that. It just needs to continue, and that’s where we haven’t been successful in the past

Yep. All 4 have done really good things as freshman. Chauncey Wiggins might be the best of the 4! He can guard 1-5, is 6'10, and has a really good shot.
We haven't even seen Chauncey Gibson who is 6'6 and brownell thinks has a really good chance to bulk up.
What's also important is having a good culture so your young players don't leave. It seems that this Group is very tight, and the way all have played meaningful minutes this year. 3 of the 4 have potential in starting next year, w/ the 4th being the first off the bench. They all will have a huge role o the team for the next 3 years if they stay.
