When we have the bases loaded, or at lest a runner on second, and our batter has a 2-srike count, why do we not instruct the batter to choke up on the bat and try for a simple base hit, not a homer? That is what I was taught when I was 15 in Pony League.

PLEASE EXPLAIN FOR US DUMMIES HOW THIS HAS BEEN AN UPGRADE FROM THE COACH WE FIRED? THIS IS LEE’S 7TH SEASON. LEGGETT’S LAST 7 YEARS - 7 REGIONALS, 2 SUPER REGIONALS, 1 CWS, 1 ACC REGULAR SEASON TITLE. LEE HAS HAD THE WORST SEASON IN 50 YEARS, NEVER ADVANCED, AND HAS 1 ACC TITLE. PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THIS IS AN UPGRADE? SOME OF US WOULD LIKE TO GO BACK TO OMAHA BEFORE WE DIE. YOU’VE OBVIOUSLY GIVEN UP.

won the ACC regular season championship, and has won 40 games all but one year. so you're going to fire a coach that wins almost 70% of his games?

Lee is 207-113 at Clemson and he’s been below 40 wins twice not counting his covid shortened season. Why’d we ever fire Jack if winning 65% of games was the only goal. He did that plus averaged a CWS every 4 years and averaged a Super Regional every of the year. None of the reasons for firing him mean pigsh*t if the next guy gets to waltz in and never win a #### thing.

Let’s just say the retired Furman head coach that does the tv broadcast has been preaching that on nearly every game he’s done as we continue striking out in those leveraged situations. He’s an old school baseball coach so I guess he is just too old and too stupid to understand today’s game. I bet he just shakes his head. Meanwhile, we can revisit this question while the team is in the middle of another lengthy losing streak where runners LOB were abundant and our improved pitching kept us within a couple runs.
