too afraid to throw hands because they are scared of getting knocked the #### out.
Let's do this minor thing.
Now let's freak out over the minor thing done to us.
"We're drafting a retaliation. This won't stand"
Retaliation is a strongly worded letter.
China needs us as much as we need China. All of this is a show for the base

If Europe, US, Japan, Korea, India, Southeast Asia etc... worked together, China would come to heel.

devote thousands and thousands of hours to counter-intelligence training for our guys with top clearance to fend off Chinese espionage, put up with this Covid ######## for the past two years, and dance around their humanitarian issues...all the while walking on egg shells around 'em.
#### China. And they horse the rode in on. #### every last one of em. And #### all these politicians with Chinese ties. The Chinese are our enemy and no one in a position of power has the sack to say it b/c they're all bought.
I hope this Evergrande default implodes and their whole façade of ######## goes down. I hope the cost to move goods across the Pacific continues to moon and squeezes companies to doing manufacturing in North or South America.
I know it won't make a hill of beans difference, but I won't be watching the winter games. This will be my first "boycott"...made that decision a long time ago.
This is nothing more than any other ######## we're fed out of Washington. Song and dance, smoke and mirrors, buncha ######## hem hawing that don't mean a #### thing.

Answer me this, since you're one of the brightest finance guys I know:
What's the long-term impact of having 65 million more homes than the Chinese will ever need...with a population that is graying faster than any other on Earth thanks to their 1-child-only policy?
The government has in typical top-down Planned Communist Economy fashion artificially mandated the cost of homes be frozen to avoid having the whole house of cards come down...but an enormous number of Chinese growth metrics were artificial, and 30% of their economy was based on...housing. And Evergrande is obviously just the tip of the iceberg there.
The Chinese might be able to keep prices artificially high, but they can't force people (I think) to buy new homes no one will ever occupy.
So it's still a house of cards. And what happens when their housing market collapses...and how does that in turn affect everything else?

Yeah, the Chinese are bad news and will dominate the USA if the progressives have their way.
