The best temp for BEER

At age 18 as a Clemson Man I preferred ice cold beer (Bud or Blue Ribbon).
Overseas in the Army German beer was served room temp - that was good.
Back in the states reverted to ice cold beer until I became a beer snob making my own, and just drinking craft beer. Cold does take away some of the taste from "real beer", so maybe 45 is best?
These days I mostly drink Pilsner style, keep it at around 32 degrees (5% beer freezes at 29).

Beer is much older than that. Try 5000 years BCE and a beer like drink from 7000 BCE. Ok, it’s before Christ.

Not me. I have a tiny fridge on the porch that is actually a freezer as the tiny fridge's don't get "ice cold".

Gonna have to get a fridge for the covered patio just had built. That looks like a good size to have.

I do prefer just under room temp. Like you stated it opens up the flavor for me.

If 5% beer freezes at 29, then keep it 29.1 for me 😎

I have tried that. I find the beer needs a safety zone. Finding all your beer bottles frozen and busted is never good.

it in a fridge or cooler. We were too young to own fridges and coolers. So became accustomed to storing it in a closet in our bedroom and drinking Milwaukee's Best Ice at room temp. It was the best of times ,it was the worst of times.

How much did you pay for a bottle of the local brew on base. Lowenbrau at Tempelhof AFB while I was there '68-71 was .25. Another brand that was popular then was Shultheiss.

I did not live on base, was hidden near the Black Forrest. Local Beer in the village was in the reusable swing top cap bottles. It was one Mark , or about 25cents.
The beer was excellent.
No bar had brand varieties as each had one supplier or made their own. Styles were mostly Helles or Pilsner.

I keep it cold enough to get ice crystals. In a cooler, I dump ice cream salt. I have a dedicated beer fridge I keep at 30-31. I’m not a fan of room temp beer. Tried it.

I like my beer cold. I set up my beer fridge by putting a gallon of water in it and slowing lowering the temperature setting until the water begins to freeze. I then move the temperature setting up just slightly and that’s where I keep my beer.
My best friend in high school used to keep Old Milwaukee on the “shelf” area above and behind the back seat of his Malibu, right in the sun. We grew up in the Lowcountry so you can imagine how hot that would get. But that’s the way he liked it.

One year at Clemson my "old lady" (great guy) was a pool hustling thug from Greenville. One of his buddies was clerk at a 7-11. He could just walk out with cases of beer for our room. Room temp Bud is good.

Local gas station beer cave has my Yuenglings at a nice temp. It is a shame they get mad when I try to open one in the store for peak coldness.
