I posted after the Duke game how proud I was to be a Clemson fan, despite the gut-wrenching loss at that game--because our fans really behaved during the game (spontaneous twirling shirts over negativity), and afterwards (tailgaters being utmost hi-class).
This Louisville game was such a great example of why it pays to have high character (win or lose). The Lew-uh-vull players racked up how many Unsportsmanlike penalties? I lost count. The refs kept chucking flags in an effort to gain control of the game. In a situation like that, guess what the refs will do in borderline situations? Well, they throw flags for things like borderline holding calls, etc. Which in turn causes more misbehavior by teams operating in Thug-mode, which then leads to more unsportsmanlike flags and more borderline calls NOT going their way. This was definitely a factor in our win last night.
I heard from several people who attended, that the LewUhVull fans were also acting like trash in the stands. That must've been wonderful to experience in person. :o)
