Chalk coaching first?

Just a baseball fan and never having played the game...I see chalk coaching first instead of Johnson. How much does the first base coach have to do with the base running yesterday. I am aware that base running was not very good last year either. So I was wondering if switching first base coaches was an effort to improve in the base running area. Thanks. Go Tigers!

michael johnson was a volunteer assistant while going to grad school. He finished his school so he has moved on to other things. We still appreciate his services for the university Go Tigers

Michael Johnson is still coaching at Clemson, but is not coaching first base so far this year.

The mot loves bashing our coaches. Fact is no first base coach has anything with a runner getting picked off. We we a very aggressive baserunning team and getting picked off is not good but sometimes the pitcher just has a better move, especially lefties. Myself I love the aggressive nature of our team

I enjoy the aggressiveness of our team too but when it doesn't work it is frustrating. Hoping we just get better at it.

It's hard to steal when you are so predictable the other team knows you are stealing

Baserunning mistakes are prevented by learning in practice.
