Chad Kelly

Apr 17, 2013, 12:37 AM

I really hated to hear about the injuries at the spring game. I hope all of them mend well. I really thought chad Kelly had a chance to be an effective backup in the event he was needed and I could see him going on to have a bright future playing ball here.

I know Jim Kelly helped advise him on where to commit and I was wondering how this injury might impact the mindset of the Kelly family. I would like to think chad comes back stronger than ever but would jim advise him to consider going to another school now? Either way he would have to heal but this would make two years chad has waited out with Watson expected to commit as well. Would this give them pause? Or has maybe Dabo assured them chad would get his chance?

I guess I don't have enough information but one cannot help but wonder. I would love to see chad get his shot one day. I would like to see it be here. I just get the feeling he is a fine qb.

I think it would b great if he could get a medical redshirt this season if that's possible. Not sure if it is.

Best 11 will play on each side of the ball from a Freshman to a 5th year Senior, black, white, blue or green the best will play.

Obviously you don't read any Chad Kelly tweets

Or comments in general. He loves Clemson because it's Clemson. He never said anything to the contrary. Chad Kelly is not going anywhere. He officially got his transfusion, and now bleeds orange forever.

I seriously doubt Watson will start as freshmen

Chad Kelly has so much talent plus he will have two years of learning the system and college coaching under him before Watson comes. But he if Watson does win the job more power to him that just means that he is a d@mn good QB.

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

Jim Kelly knows as well as anyone that injuries are a part of the game. He expressed concern for Chad playing in an offense which calls for the QB to run a lot, but in the same breath said that fits Chad's style. No problems.
