So, he's talking about a stat this week, and you're talking about one from last week?
Seems legit.

They might sec east contenders, but they would not be ACC Coastal or Atlantic contenders, by any stretch.

Clemson was the Atlantic & Coastal and until the Tigers beat them it is kind of hard to argue with them.

So could Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, and Arkansas. But that doesn't mean they're not contenders in the division.
If they couldn't beat VT, GT, or Miami, then they wouldn't be contenders.

People say that about VT every year and what happens? They end up in the ACC title game and will this year too with GT losing to Miami

Really? You mean the Va Tech that got beatdown by Pitt, who is awful? Or the Miami who got hammered unmercifully by K State? Or the Ga Tech that got beat by Miami and Va Tech?
I'll tell you what, we'll trade our October schedule and let you go play UGA, then at LSU, then UT (who by the way destroyed NC State), and then go to Florida. Who do you have in that stretch?
You can criticize all you want but if you can't win 10 games with your schedule you should fire them all.
Name another marquee game from your conference that the whole nation will want to see this year. Think anyone might want to watch LSU/Florida, or Bama/LSU, or UGA/USC, or Bama/Tn, or UGA/FL?? Heck that is just a handful, other than you guys and FSU matching up you really think the nation has another ACC game they'd dial in for?

You're correct, don't let facts get in the way of emotions.
No different than basketball, ACC has great matchups there, much better than SEC and more national appeal. If you can't see there is a big difference in national appeal between SEC/ACC in football then you just don't want to see it.

Im not gonna lie. You guys are idiots. They would do better in the acc than we would ever dream to do in the sec. They would kill VT GT and definitely Miami. Quit being so biased and talk intelligently. Uga is gonna win the east hands down but to say they would get killed in the acc is laughable. Theres three good teams in the acc and they would play all three real close. Hell they beat one of them 3 years in a row. So lets talk intelligently and not biased. I will say WE beat them soundly this year tho. haha

same can be said for usuc. unless they are playing a uga,uf,ut, etc. no one wants to see the chickens. don't kid yourself, to the rest of the nation, outside of the handful of usuc fans, y'all are an afterthought, no that would be neverthought. it's time to cut the apron strings and stand on y'alls own, quit riding the coattails of the " real" sec teams!

Florida exposed them. Also yes SC would beat Miami, Gt would be very tough for them as they have struggled against Wofford and Navy and would be first time seeing them. VT, depends on where it is played, but with VT new OL and I mean all new, they'd get the edge. FSU would win the east as they're for real and unreal fast and deep defense

Great taste! Less filling! Great Taste! Less Filling!
Sep 26, 2012, 4:21 PM

Reading these posts reminds me of the old "Great taste! Less filling!" commercials.
Clemson fans USC fans will never agree, but it will not stop us from arguing.
To Clemson fans, Spurrier is "the old ball sack" but to USC fans, he the nation's best. To USC fans, Dabo is a "clown" but to Clemson fans, he is the next Danny Ford.
To Clemson fans, USC plays in the secLeast and Clemson plays in the most dominate conference in the history of college football. To USC fans, the SEC East could beat half of the NFL teams, but ACC is equivalent to the Lingerie Football League.
Thankfully, the Tigers will settle the argument in November!

Wha? Let's be realistic here. Hasn't UGA beaten GT like 10 out of the last 11 times? And they've beaten them the past 2 years as well as handled us pretty easily the last 3 so (and beat NCST Twice) The season is young but until the tide changes - think it would be accurate to say they would be contenders to say the least.

That's easy to do when the SEC schedules a cupcake late in the season as basically an extra bye week prior to rival games. SoCar plays Wofford...Georgia plays Ga Southern...Florida plays U of Lousiana then Jacksonville State prior to FSU.
That's an easy way to get extra practice and rest in...just saying

LSU's opponents are a combined 4-11. UGA's opponents are a combined 6-10.
Does this mean LSU and UGA aren't contenders either? Remind me how the SEC winner is chosen? It's based on the records of their opponents, right? Wait, no. That's not it.

The only 2 teams that COULD beat USC is FSU and Clemson and last I checked they had whipped us 3 times in a row.. They could win the ACC a lot easier than we could win the SEC. Sorry but they have a far better D and I thats just being as real as I can be.. Defense wins championship..
