Pick your poison halloween candy style... what's your fave?
I'm a heath bar but I bought a boatload of nerds gummy clusters and full size airheads for the trick or treaters because I don't need the temptation

Reese's Cups.
Gimme a chocolate candy over a just sugary candy any day.
Also, I like Candy Corn. I know that might be controversial, but it is good stuff.

If around Halloween candy I will eat more Reese's cups than anything else. Snickers comes in second, but I will buy those any time. I think the cups go too quickly when I'm needing my typical sugar fix.

Dad tax order of preference when my kids were trick or treating: - 100 Grands - Baby Ruth - Snickers
My wife and I disagree on what to buy to hand out. Much like you, I don't want the temptation. She'd prefer to buy something that she doesn't mind having around to indulge the sweet tooth.

I like to buy candy that makes me popular with the kids but not something I'm tempted to eat.
Butterfingers round out my top 3.

you leave the bag in your pocket so they get JUST warm enough to be gooey on the inside. Hard caramel on the inside is terrible.

Don't eat candy. Not handing it out this time, will be out of town at parents weekend at private liberal college that costs a GD fortune. Well, unless 17 yr old will be here (DOUBT THAT!), then I'll get some for her to hand out.

Peanut M&Ms, Butterfingers, and Snickers are all up there.
Question: Do you believe in Halloween candy portion integrity (one per kid), or do you believe in somewhat of a free-for-all so you don't have leftover #### that'll just make the household fat?

I probably spend $300 on candy. If I know the kid or they are sweet I usually let them take a handful.
Jerks get one.
I don't ever want any leftover candy. My kid's candy usually gets thrown out after a week. I've got one with a peanut allergy and the other is picky so they don't really care.
I'm usually so over halloween by then I'm ready to get rid of all the evidence.
