Watched the Tigers Beat the Tide Again Last Night

and it was just as exciting as those other 36 times I've watched it. There were several obvious "no calls" but the officials let them play and the calls appeared to favor each team equally. I thought we had an obvious PI that was a "no call" and an obvious "no call" when two Alabama DL were holding Wilkins and he broke free. One of the officials was in position to make the call but maybe he figured if two Alabama DL could not contain Wilkens it was not a hold. I always get a little worried toward the end of the first quarter when it appeared Alabama had their running game in drive and were driving for a score. BUT, having to walk all the way to the other end of the field to begin the second quarter must have worn then out because they had to settle for a field goal. The last 10:02 of the game is a thing of beauty. The Tigers, firmly in control. daring the mighty Tide to "stop us if you can". And Dabo, showing mercy, tells his team to let the clock run out with the Tigers sitting on the Alabama five yard line, And where did that final drive begin? At the Tigers one yard line. Ah, such sweet memories !!!!!!!

I'm sorry Joe, but I strongly disagree. That last drive started at the 6" line.

That game was classic in so many ways...it's becoming my

favorite Clemosn game of all time. Classic preparation, classic coaching, classic execution, classic poise, classic composure, and at the end, classic class. I simply cannot remember another time a team cam ein with as much hype as "Bama with an offense", "the greatest team of all time", "St. Nick's most complete team", and just get absolutely, thoroughly, and completely controlled, and with apparent ease. I can't ever remember watching a Clemson bowl or playoff game without butterflies, but when they went or it on 4th in the second quarter from their 30, I turned to my wife and said "it's over, they don't have any answers". Then I eased back in my chair and just enjoyed the hell out of the rest of that game.
