Candidates when Cheese Leaves

Dec 8, 2012, 4:19 PM

First, let's go with the most crazy Jeremy Pruitt. The defense backs coach for Alabama played with coach Swinney at Bama and their may be a personal connection there. No way this would ever happen but it could be nice

Second, another pipe dream would be Torrian Gray from Virginia Tech. Yes, VA Tech hasn't been the best secondary the last 2 years but this guy can coach and he gets players that want to make contact. Also Virginia Tech in years past very rarely drops the ball and is always looking for the big time play.

The finale pipe dream would be Scott Lakatos..... who has no connection to our university at all. However, his secondary is always among the best in the country and if we can get Brent Venables who had no connection to us, and Chad Morris who had no connection, than why not go after another big time coach

what about Dawk?

we should try to lure him back home.

DOes he have coaching experience at any level?***

IF he was willing to come back, I really don't see

why his level of coaching experience is a huge deal. He has played so long at the NFL level he basically knew how to play most positions better than the 2nd-3rd year guys around him that actually played them.

If Ray Lewis came sand said I want to coach your LB's, I don't see how you would say no. I'd put Dawkins in a similar class.

Mike Reed from NCST would be great.

Recruiting in NC

NCST has a had a very good secondary with less talent

He has NFL experience with Jim Johnson from the Eagles

Agree!!! We do pay pretty well. Also, not many HC's will do what Dabo does with his bonus money. Dabo spits it up among his position coaches. And that in it's self make's guy's work harder for him. IMO, Dabo is a ### good to all of his coaches. Dabo gets it!!!
