Recruiting Class of 2022 Offers Sent Update

I know there's a ways to go until the 2022 classes get the bows on top, but I'll take the time anyways to show where Clemson stands against the rest of the national powers in terms of number of offers sent out, as the vast majority are in the mail by now.
ND is included with the ACC for conference numbers, and I only looked at P5 schools. Whenever WR is shown, that includes TEs as well.
Average Number of Offers Sent by a P5 School 222
Average Number of Offers per School by Conference ACC - 218 Big 10 - 215 Big 12 - 207 PAC 12 - 189 SEC - 274
School With Highest Number of Offers Sent by Conference ACC - Georgia Tech - 339 Big 10 - Nebraska - 371 Big 12 - Kansas - 420 PAC 12 - Arizona St - 438 SEC - Tennessee - 464
School With Fewest Number of Offers Sent by Conference ACC - Clemson - 69 Big 10 - NW - 87 Big 12 - Texas Tech - 108 PAC 12 - UCLA - 70 SEC - Mizzou - 169
Top 5 (Fewest) 1 - Clemson - 69 2 - UCLA - 70 3 - Washington - 77 4 - Stanford - 83 5 - UNC - 85
Top 5 (Most) 1 - Tennessee - 464 2 - Arizona St - 438 3 - Kansas - 420 4 - Nebraska - 371 5 - Penn State - 364
Most Offers by Position QB - 26 - Virginia Tech RB - 39 - Tennessee WR - 88 - Kansas OL - 107 - Arizona State DL - 91 - Arizona State LB - 44 - Tennessee DB - 84 - Kansas & Tennessee ST - 35 - Kansas
Total Offers by Position QB - 656 RB - 1,113 WR - 2,534 OL - 2,169 DL - 2,683 LB - 1,391 DB - 2,652 ST - 1,035
Average # Offers per School by Position QB - 10 RB - 17 WR - 40 OL - 34 DL - 42 LB - 22 DB - 41 ST - 16
Total Offers Sent by P5 Schools & ND - 14,233 Percentage Sent by Tennessee - 3.26% Percentage Sent by Clemson - 0.48%
Current 247 Top 10 Class Rankings 1 - Penn State - 364 2 - Alabama - 217 3 - Ohio State - 109 4 - Notre Dame - 167 5 - LSU - 249 6 - Oklahoma - 165 7 - Georgia - 218 8 - FSU - 328 9 - Clemson - 69 10 - Oregon - 263
Current 247 Top 10 Avg Recruit Rating 1 - Alabama - 94.17 - 217 2 - Ohio State - 93.98 - 109 3 - Clemson - 93.8 - 69 4 - Georgia - 93.2 - 218 5 - USC - 92.04 - 227 6 - Oklahoma - 91.76 - 165 7 - LSU - 91.63 - 249 8 - Texas A&M - 91.46 - 222 9 - Notre Dame - 91.1 - 167 10 - Penn State - 90.47 - 364
Those rankings and average scores WILL change a good bit, but the number of offers shouldn't. Some surprising stuff to be sure, but it's kinda cool to be the 9th ranked class with the 3rd highest average recruiting rating despite sending out the fewest offers. A whopping 17 teams sent out over 300 offers, but only two are top 10 classes, and only one barely made it to the top 10 average. Just goes to show, quantity is certainly not everything.
Fun Facts!
Arizona State sent more offers to offensive linemen (107) than nine schools did to all positions COMBINED. That's the most at any position group by any school!
There are 18 instances by 11 schools of more offers sent at a single position than the total offers from Clemson, meaning 70 or more.
Tennessee, with the most offers sent at 464, offered more WRs (86), OL (75), DL (87), and DBs (84) than Clemson did total players (69).
When you get a Clemson offer, that MEANS something. And I love that we get kids that buy into that, evidenced by the rankings and our success of the last decade.

several interesting numbers, but the one that jumps out to me is VT has offered 26 QB's. That is crazy, talk about narrowing it down.

Wow! Thx for poasting. Not shocked to see that our Tigers have the fewest offers. A Tiger offer is like a Willy Wonka golden ticket. LOL at Rocky Top with 464 offers!

Great post. However, per Tnet regs, data and facts get in the way of opinion and wild speculation. I hope you don't get too many TDs. ">

What makes me laugh is the Top 5 Fewest Offers List

Top 5 (Fewest) 1 - Clemson - 69 2 - UCLA - 70 3 - Washington - 77 4 - Stanford - 83 5 - UNC - 85
Besides Clemson, I know enough about UW and Stanford to get what's going on. Mack at UNC is trying to mimic Dabo.
But UCLA??? LOL. Nobody in their right mind would want to play for Chip Kelly. Maybe he knows that and doesn't bother.

Who's to say?

It would seem like Mack's going the Dabo route, but it's working for him. Their classes since he took over have been very, very good by their standards. Low offers, modest class size, but plenty of high caliber talent with plenty of 4* and a couple 5*.
As for other small-offer schools, I knew about Stanford (they were the only ones to send less than us the last time I did this) and Northwestern, but the most famous is Rice. Didn't show them since they're not P5, but they've sent out a whopping 31 offers!
