be today had Danny Ford never left Clemson. I know it wouldnt have been perfect and its purely speculation but I feel certain that FSU's string of championships wouldnt have happened. And the ACC might be better for it as a whole today.

There is always a chance i'm wrong of course but I loved his hard nosed approach.

Dabo is a fine coach too but Danny was special. I love Dabo's desire to create a winning program, but I really hope he now has a firmer understanding of the value of a more physical style of player as well as just speedy.

No doubt FSU would not have ruled the ACC like they did. We were on par with them at the line of scrimmage, but they had better skill players. I think we would have won every other year or so. I remember an interview with Danny some years ago where he stated that his recruiting was really hitting stride in 88 - 89, so I think we were lining up to go Nat champions again.
