Can we talk about Clemson's history with IMG players?

It was just mentioned on WCCP. Sounds like the best two commitments from IMG was Xavier Thomas and Shaq Smith, out of all players that came to Clemson.

Are other schools having the same outcome at IMG?

IMG definitely blows everyone out, but is that because their players are simply bigger or is it because they are technically sound? From my days of coaching in high school, usually the bigger team off the bus, if substantial enough, was going to be the winners.

Just leads to the question, is IMG really that good of a farm school?

a high school full of all stars blowing out schools not full of all stars..seems like its more of a case of playing under matched teams...reminds me of burch at the private school..watched him play that game on tv against a top tier team and he looked average..meanwhile didnt hear much about him this season

Good point, I remember Clark Bynum and the other kid from Pinewood Prep who was the McD's all American, didn't amount to squat.

We should honestly stop recruiting from IMG, they don't really fit the culture that Dabo has made as they leave Local HS' to go play at IMG they aren't really loyal at all.

I remember. 5 star bball player from a private school a few years back that did not live up to anything close to a 5. Felt bad for that guy. That was right before I quit watching basketball.

Regular HS teams will have a stud or 2 who are as good or better than the IMG guys. But the rest of the team is made up of so so or even bad players, so of course they get blown out by a team that has recruited people for every position. Recruiting from IMG is lazy, and the guys you get are going to be one scolding from the portal.
