Can we move a WR to DB?

Someone please explain something very basic to me - everyone including Brent Venebles has acknowledged that we are thin at DB and loaded at WR.

Why can't we move a WR and coach them to play DB? Am I totally off here?

I like to think maybe there has been some experimentation with this already in the offseason. That tailback Coleman did a decent job of making that switch a few years ago so it can be done. We are going hard at that spot recruiting this year but I know you realize that.
