He is over confident and arrogant. He has changed plays twice that cost us. He thought cause we had 3 good quarters against Syracuse, which the defense was mostly responsible for, that the offense had turned the corner. He has came out and played terrible the past two games. He still hasn’t proven that he is the long term option for the next two seasons. He needs to be humbled, along with other players. Namely Shipley. If you’re gonna throw a hissy fit for the ball, fine then, but don’t keep on fumbling the ball when you continue to get chances inside the ten yard line.
Part of the problem this season is we have no leadership from the players, and no accountability being taken. The players have simply failed to execute when they have been in position to make plays. At this point, well this really is all on offense, if you’re not gonna execute then you need to be benched. The coaches need to get this point across to the players. I think at least to start the game against NC State that Helms and Mafah should be the starters, if it starts out well then keep them in. Dabo made the mistake of being to loyal to DJ, I hope he doesn’t with Cade. Cade needs a huge wake up call.

based on look vs situation. He should have chosen based on situation(2 plays to get a yard). The coaches didn't think they needed to lock the play but the fact is they didn't. Coaches made a mistake in that one but QB should have still been savvy enough to make the right call.

Not yet, but is closing in. DJ was 22-6 as a starter but it is hard to give him credit for the ACC Championship game. Cade is 4-4.

There is friction between some on this team. Is it Shipley & Klubnik or does it reside elsewhere. Will has a problem in goal line situations. How many has he coughed up inside the ten? The OL has a problem for darn sure.
We had the ball for less than 2 minutes in the 4th quarter. Less than 8 in 2nd half. You cannot win games that matter with that type time of possession.

I just think he's trying to do too much. It could be arrogance, but maybe he's pressing and making poor decisions.

He is not DW or TL. But who you gonna put in for him? I don’t think the majority of our problem is his arrogance. I think it starts with coaching, recruiting, player development, and playcalling. Him making a bad decision in overtime against Miami did not lose us that game. This started 3 years ago with recruiting and spilled over into last offseason with developing Cade and the offensive line, and continued with poor playcalling and overall play that put a 20 year old in the position that one bad decision means the difference between a win and a loss.

This team isn’t as good as ‘22.
And ‘22 wasn’t as good as ‘21.
And ‘21 wasn’t as good as ‘20.
And ‘20 wasn’t as good as ‘19.
And ‘19 wasn’t as good as ‘18.
It’s not ALL about the QB. And this team has a lot of other issues besides just Cade. One thing I’m very sure about is we’d have the same record we have this year with DJ at QB. One thing that’s a certainty is UNC would have won the ACC last year if Dabo hadn’t sat DJ and played Cade.

I don't think we need to get so personal about Cade.
I think he has yet to understand 2 important things
1. In high school he might have been physically superior to his competition - ie, he might have been able to get away with some things through his physical abilities - that is true no longer at this level
2. He can elevate this offense far more with his brain (good reads, good decisions, leadership) than with his physical abilities.
