Yea you're the one who clearly does not understand football. Shipley got blown up 2x the cut block was fine, DJ is not making progressions and is slow to pull the trigger. College football is too fast for him, you can't expect to have 5 seconds in the pocket every play, this is not a video game.

He's been sacked 4 times so far this season. That doesn't seem like very many sacks for a guy you say is trying to stand in the pocket for 5 seconds each play behind poor blocking.

Totally agree, he needs to. Say what you will, blame everyone but him... But Trevor, kb2, dw4 all had weak oline. Yeah, he made some good throws but there was nice catches too.
I really don't know but something is missing. We have talent. Also this is la tech.

I'm not at all saying DJ is on the level of Watson or Lawrence because few are, but those guys also had receivers like Williams, Leggett, Higgins, Rodgers, Cain, Scott, Renfrow, etc... to throw to.
Also funny you mention Bryant, as through 3 games this season DJ has a higher QB rating, higher average per completion, and just 1% less on completion percentage compared to Bryant in 2017. That's with Bryant having Renfrow, Higgins, Cain, Rodgers, and McCloud.

Like he did last week when he took snaps, rolled out and got tackled for loss right? Cades the future, but he's not ready yet. Line play and WR's dropping passes that hit them in the hands is the problem. Cade isn't going to come in and make the O-line block better. And before you say its because DJ cant run, he's the leading rusher so far tonight. This is ridiculous, even Trevor wasn't held to this kind of standard.

If you mean Cade needs to play WR so we have someone who can catch, or O-line so someone picks up a block, or DB to actually cover someone I'm right there with you. If you're trying to insinuate DJ is somehow to blame so far then you're clueless about football. If you can't see the actual problem areas and not just what you want to believe about DJ then you have an agenda. DJ is putting the ball where the receivers can make a play, its not his fault they (Ngata mostly) has butter fingers.

That said, I typically see this type of "team in the doldrums" level of play and personality when the team knows the coaches aren't playing the best players at every position.
Not just QB. Every position. But the team needs a spark on the field. Go Tigers!

Who says we are going to take any bumps at all this year? We're 3-0 and really haven't been tested that much. The next few weeks will tell us a lot, but if you've watched any Clemson football in the past decade you know we don't cover spreads early in the year. And heck we DID cover the spread vs GT.
We're still in position to play our last game on Monday night.

He did that Saturday night. He is going to be a great QB but he is not ready to take the team on his shoulders.

I had hoped to see more of Cade by this point but if he didnt get any meaningful playing time against the worst teams on our schedule I'd assume Dabo doesn't think he's ready for prime time. If we see him this weekend its because DJ is injured or horrible. Or we are blowing them out which is a third, less likely, option.
